Suh excelled in football, basketball, soccer, and track and field at Grant High School in Portland. Suh participated for the Grant Generals as a two-way lineman. Suh made the honorable-mention All-state team and the PIL first team for both attack and defense as a junior.

Suh’s second brought his season total for fumbles returned for touchdowns for the Buccaneers to two, tying Ronde Barber’s previous record set in the same season.
